Who We Are
Blink Labs makes everyday electronics smarter. We are a group of engineers, scientists, and
company builders developing learning software for consumer devices, from smart home gadgets to
entry-level robots.
The Team
The Robotics team builds the behaviors that make our entry-level home robots genuinely useful:
perception, manipulation, and the glue that turns model outputs into motion. Our robots are
affordable and the hardware is simple, so the intelligence has to do the heavy lifting.
In This Role You Will
Ship perception and control pipelines for affordable consumer robots.
Build reliable everyday behaviors (pickup, docking, tidying) that work in real homes, not just
lab benches.
Turn fleet data into training sets: reproduce failures, curate examples, retrain.
Fit our learning models into the compute, memory, and latency budgets of cheap hardware.
Own features end to end, from a dev rig on your desk to customer robots.
What We Hope You'll Bring
Experience with robot perception, manipulation, or control (research, coursework, or shipped
product).
Strong Python, and C++ when latency matters.
Comfort with ROS or similar middleware, simulators, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Practical debugging instincts on real hardware.
Bonus Points If You Have
Shipped a consumer robot or physical product.
Experience fine-tuning or deploying learned policies on real robots.
Contributions to open-source robotics projects.
Pursuant to the New York City Fair Chance Act, we will consider for employment qualified
applicants with arrest and conviction records.
